Leonardo Da Vinci (1452 – 1519) Leonardo was the supreme Renaissance painter, scientist, inventor, and polymath. Da Vinci known as one of the smartest people to ever set foot on Earth. He was interested in almost everything from science to art to music. Da Vinci was an immense part of the creative power at the start of the renaissance period. Of his many works he was remembered wildly as the creator of The Mona Lisa.

Galileo (1564 – 1642) created one of the first modern telescopes, Galileo re-imagined our understanding of the world while supporting the work of Copernicus. Galileo promoted the theory that the Earth and all other planets in this solar system orbit the sun instead of the Earth. His work, Two New Sciences, laid the foundation for the science of Kinetics and strength of materials.

Martin Luther (1483-1546) Leader of the Protestant reformation. Martin Luther wrote 95 thesis attacking the church, such as criticizing the belief that sin and wrong doings could be forgiven by paying the church. Martin Luther was ex-communicated from the Catholic church and was a key figure in the new Protestant religion.

William Shakespeare (1564- 1616) English poet and playwright. Famous works include Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice and Hamlet. Most of the plays and poetry Shakespeare created are still shown today in schools and other various places around the world. His works are considered key parts of the world's literature.
